Can we see the lower row of rivets before we all cream on this thing please? And the feet - and where is the lower acorn? May be there and may be fine but this photo angle needs to improve. Caution with Heeresflak is a virtue.

Off hand it looks promising but better pictures are needed. I would like to see a close up of the hinge and makers mark. The obverse details appear to be inconsistent also. As Marc noted the bottom acorn looks to be missing. The pebbling and the oakleaves lack detail in difference locations of the wreath also.

                Good call you guys,

The archives are full of fake Aurich Heer flaks. I included myself in this thread just to see the outcome...

THANK GOD someone is actually looking at the fake files. Good move Robert. I would bet good money the seller doesn't send you any better shots and we see this badge in a week or so from another person. Still might be good, but I am not a convert until converted!

I do not like this example. Better shots would be helpful, but the the hinge on this is suspect for me. Usually a HA hinge is very crisp in detail and this makes me have doubts, amoung other things. Again better pictures would be helpful.

I have asked for better pictures.
As soon as I get them (if I get them), I will post them here.

This badge I realy don't like. There is a very good near perfect casting of this Aurich badge, but there are a few markers
1: The thickness of the badge varies of the wrath. If the upper portion is much thicker than the lower portion, it's not good
2: The crimping of the hinge is not smooth but has a hammerd/bended surface. The good ones are nicely trimmed and smooth.
3: The crimping of the catch of this type of fake has a ridge on it.
4: The front of the eagled toe's are flat. The fact that the sticker hides that very piont is for me a turn-off

So forme, I would not buy this badge ever.

Dang guys! I always thought that these HA badges with that type hinge were the correct version. I must be out of the loop. Now I have fears about mine. Would someone give an opinion on this one? It weighs in at 23.7 grams, rather light by my RS version at 31 grams.

                          Thanks,
                          Richard
