          Hi guys,

Giel, you sure about that? Looks like a misstruck original. They did agreat job with the hardware if that is indeed a fake.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

On page 172 of Sasha Weber's book on the IAB you will find this very badge with the same flaws to the sling of the rifle and the beads in the bottom center of the wreath. Many more flaws as well. The crimp is the same, the hinge with the serrated features and the catch are all the same. I would personally call this piece an original from what I see in Sasha's book. I don't know the word 'unbekannter' Hesteller.

It even has the same feauture to the neck, maybe not a flaw after all.

Possibly a double strike on the hinge crimp.

I agree with Tom and the others, can't see anything wrong here.

Only looking from the reverse I would have also said 100% good, the set up, material, small zink bubbles and finish which I expect on a RK IAB are all there. But I never saw such an ugly observe on an RK IAB before, plus the orange-brown aging looks very chemical to me. Might be original afterall but it wouldn't be something I would like to add to my collection.
                    Kind regards,
                    Giel
