    Thanks Jacques, the eagle appears to be reapplied but it still displays very well. The tabs and boards are original, I imagine TDBs had to be removed (usually they were made to) after surrendering like other awards and the eagle.

      I did not purchase the badge from Weitze. As noted it seems more expensive than it should be for what it is. I should have the tunic tomorrow and can measure the ghost. I still am in the market for a decent badge, if you guys can help me find one that would be great.

          Very nice piece and in terms of condition I'd say perfect for your tunic. This is the backing that I have encountered most often, followed by the navy blue/black wool.

          IMO should be around $800ish+.
