Skijager badge, probably a fake?

This came along with an original edelweiss cap badge that I got, but I have doubts about it's authenticity. It certainly seems old, but it's unmarked and doesn't seem to be up to snuff quality wise with other German badges I have. Furthermore I've never even seen one that looks like this before.

The two skis and the edelweiss are 3 different pieces put together.

Thats not a badge, thats a souvenir, that could stil be bought by tourists here in bavaria today.
