New S&L IAB silver

My latest recruit, a heavy S&L IAB in silver with a little die flaw in the lower jaw area. I cannot find traces of the zink base metal on the (lightly) worn areas, so could this mean a tombak coating was applied?

Could you post a close up of what you exactly mean? These badges only had the silver finish on top of the zink as far as I know of...

I'm not able to make better pictures at the moment, but what I mean is that I cannot see any grey of the supposed zinc base metal on worn areas such as the claws. In some very tiny spots I can see a yellowish hue, but I'm not sure if this is a tombak coating or just the quality of the finish.
