      Don -

Unfortunately it's all the seller has provided me with. I was hoping there would be a few tell-tale things you guys could see.

      Thanks in advance - Mike

The first one looks like a Wiedmann and the hollow a S&L, difficult to say with these pics.

        regards Den

          Hi Mike......

.....the images are small, but I have reservations about both. Tentative reservations on the solid badge.

Definite FAKE is the hollow badge. The giveaway: the hinge. Even with the small size of the image that hinge is a red flag.

          Hope this helps some.

            Mike,
The first one looks to have a Weidmann logo although the hardware is not typical for that company. I would avoid it. As Bruce said, the second one is definately a fake as no accepted IAB maker utilized that type of hinge.

Thanks guys! Somebody is going to get spanked on these via ebay. They are part of an auction of several badges and a party armband. The seller is hiding the bidder's identity... always a bad sign. The old story "part of an estate sale" is always a warning sign too.

If the seller can't supply better pics than those best left alone

                cheers
