    L/10 IAB, new today.

Picked this Deschler L/10 up today for 30$ (15GBP). Scans make it look a little dirty, but its really nice and clean with still a nice silvery finish. No damage to the back, but the bummer is that the pin is missing. Even the hinge pin is still there. The sloppily applied top hinge shows the shaped hinge recess in the badge for locating the hinge.
I like the fine pebbling to the birds feet which is repeated to the bow below the berrys at the bottom. I like this one.

          Hi Sturgis......

......Nice badge. Great price. Talk to Dr. Jimmy and I'll bet he could come up with a replacement pin without any strain.

Hope this helps. He is very good and has earned an excellent reputation here among members having badges repaired by him.

Instead of Dr. Jimmy I believe he likes the handle 'Dr. Love.'

If I'm wrong I'm sure he'll let me know.

              Good luck

A nice and not easy to find badge IMO.

I would leave it just the way it is if I were you
                  Kind regards,

I dont suppose I would be messing the badge too much if I am just replacing the pin.
How rare is this one then ?

                        Hi Richard,

I just like the badges they way they come to me. I always leave them as they are, unless they have a really sticky nasty postwar finish on them. A replacement pin wouldn't hurt this badge I suppose, but a new finish would deffinitely ruine it.

L/10 badges aren't super rare, but they are not the type of IAB you come along every day like BH Mayer, RK,...
                        Kind regards,
                        Giel

Definately would not touch the badge finish. All it needs is a pin. I have about 20 IAB's now and the two best ones in my opinion have the pins missing !!
