And who is the marker ?

    NW,

The badge is a good one IMO, the maker remains unknown but it is referred to as the "Deformed Leaf" badge. Have a look at the uppermost leaft on the right of the badge, where it is intersected by the bayonet you will see that it does not align up and it also appears to get bigger. A nice zinc badge with most of the silver finish gone.

    Regards,

    Mark

Nice badge, IMO hinge suggests Steinhauer&Lück but let the pros decide

        Comparison with an S&L Badge

        Thomas,

I know what you are thinking, when I saw the hardware setup I immediately thought of S&L, however if you compare the two, they are not the same. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of my deformed leaf badge on file, but that's what the badge night wolf has posted is.

Below is a comparison of the deformed leaf and a S&L badge (okay I've got too much free time right now!!)

        Regards,

        Mark

Pretty beat up badge in very poor condition.

As Mark said, maker unknown and referred to by some as "deformed leaf" with a vertical crimp.

          cheers
