    TDB in silver, opinions please

Up for discussion is this TDB from a friend of mine. The tank is non-magnetic, I think cupal and measures 43x18 mm. As for the dimensions of the stripe, these are 93x28 mm so way off IMO. The black bands are 4 mm. Additionally, the two strings on the top and bottom of the stripe glow under blacklight so I presume this an original tank pinned to a fake/57 stripe, but more opinions are welcome.

Thanks for the reply Don. Is it one of the 'Austrian' fakes? I told my friend but he isn't convinced, so I would like to know what points are bad other than the dimensions of the stripe and the blacklight.

Yes, this is the early type of the austrian fake. the tank is to big and thick. The observations on the stripe are correct too.

The tank dimension (size) to the space between the black borders is too great. And the black borders themselves have threads running in the exact opposite direction from that found on original TDBs - ///////.

I agree, a bad one. Compared to a original the differences should be obvious.
