    Gregory,

    Nice find !!!

Hankmeister is right it is a type of german dialect.

De dütsche Eikbom steiht noch - the german Oaktree still stands.

Further on it says: jungs holt fast - lads holt on (or: lads holt fast)

It all have to do with to keep strong ! with hearts of oak !

Maker on the back: GES. GESCH. Friedr. surename???. Lüdenscheid.

To me on the back of your IAB it shows: Hermann 8.1.44 (I was first thinking of a 3 but the longer I look it shows an 8).

    yours friendly

thanks guys thats interesting to know more about that weird skll one? don't know why it has an Anker do you?

also on the estates sale pick up price, well the Auction people who go into homes now are getting smarter on Military items and some even check the going price, so i didn't get it for what you think i would have. I had to push out a couple of bills and change for it.

I picked them up even though i don't collect these items knowing that others would like to add them to their collection, also I wanted to learn more about them sense I haven't seen afew of them before, like that IAB Back, the skull cased oak tree pin, wax seal, and that stick pin.

so even though I am selling them i'm glad i picked them up..

thanks guys for all the extra info!
