    WA Sports Badge

    Hey All,

I have a question on this WA Sports Badge for our learned members. I've had this for a long time but was wondering if any of you have seen one like it. It looks like a standard WA Sports Badge, but instead a hinge and catch, it has "sew-in" loops to the back.

I haven't seen many, so I'm wondering if you have seen any like this with the same reverse set-up.

    Thanks for the help,
    Ryan

        The WA Sportsbadge....

        Dear Ryan,

I am sorry to say so but this is a known fake......at least in the Netherlands I have seen various pieces in gold and silver.....

The originals ones I have seen all do have the 'normal' Dutch-style pin/catch back. The construction is quite peculiar and is also found on all other NSB breast badges (like the NJS/Jeugdstorm sportsbadges). Here is a picture of a real badge.

        Best regards,

        Coco

          Thanks Coco,
Bad news, but good to know it. I was suspicious for a long time about it as I hadn't seen another.

Oh well, the hunt for a good one will be fun!

          Thanks again!
          Ryan
