    "GB42" Tombak GAB

Any help with this one would be appreciated. I am unable to locate any reference to this maker mark and need some help. The 42 is throwing me off.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind Regards
    Mike

Use the search function and use GB 42 and you will get 12 threads on these.

          Thanks Don

Thanks Don the space bar always gets me!! I was typing GB42 or something close because GB42 should have worked as well.

Anyway, my apologies for wasting anyones time.

Somtimes you just have to play with it. Another technique is to try common spelling errors.

              Hi Mike,

I would be very careful with this badge. GB42's are very rare and disarable badges. I once saw a fake of these which was extremely hard to identify (it wasn't an african hero fake this time). Would it be possible to post some close ups of the set up and the makermark?
And as Don already mentioned this is deffinitely a zinker.

                      Hi Mike,

Not the best close ups, but I would personally pass on this badge.

My gut feeling says it's a very good copy, also taken in to account that this is not the standard pin set up for these GB's it would make me decide to leave it.
                      Kind regards,
                      Giel
