Does this CCC look good to you?

    Thanks for looking!

I have compared it with mine and this one looks good to me, a nice first pattern silver FLL which has retained a better than average amount of the silver wash.

      Hi Ray,

I would say that it is an original 2nd Pattern FLL and bronze. You can still see remnants of the bronze finish on the pin. Looks like a decent original with absorbed finish.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi,
I think I'd agree with Tom, it's an original but there are signs on the reverse of a Bronze wash rather than Silver . But whether it's a first or second pattern beats me, how can you tell?

          Hi Neil,

Both patterns have a similar obverse, but differences lie in the reverse. The hinge is more sunken in with a round wire catch for the first pattern. Second pattern (shown here) has a simply soldered on hinge flush with the reverse and a chunkier fat catch.
