My new Heeres Flak, nice variation

    Hello boy's

I've just bought this nice Heeres Flak. It's unmarked, but I feel it resembles a lot to the Juncker flakbadges and has some features to the coastal artillery badges of Juncker. The back had been laquerd and had the dish-like curve from catch to the 3 o'clock position. I would like you're opinion on the badge and some idea's of it's maker.

Here are the pics. I'm sorry for the quality, my camera isn't that good.

Hi Peter, This badge just doesn't look right to me for some reason. Is the hinge really that flat or is it just the pic? I also don't like the saw cuts in the eagle and the fact that the wreath isn't the same thickness all around. I might be wrong but it just doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy based upon these pics. Can you post measurements and wieght?

If I am correct this is by a maker that Frank recently identified and is 100% good. I am sure Ian will chime in, and I will ask Frank who the maker is as I forget off the top of my head, but I remember the discussions on the gray-backed flatback Heeres Flak.

Perhaps Frank will drop in and comment. It would be nice to hear from him.

The reverse scared me a bit to be honest. The dark grey paint, the crude craftmanship and the very new looking grey pait would hold me back from it. Anyway, would love to hear some more about these!
          Kind regards,
          Giel

I've also been aware of the fact that Frank was investigating this type. It would been nice if he could chip in and give us a description of the search he made with this badge. Giel, the paint is not so newly as the pictures make it. The badge itself looks crued, but you can see a lot of handcrafting.
