    Panzer Badge,marked: HA

Is this badge good or not? Some of the Eagle´s details have faded away, but generally its good shape.

Other than the heavy wear it looks ok to me.

      Panzer Badge

      Hello,
I agree with Don, it looks good to me. I used to collect these HA Panzer badges many moons ago (the last one I owned was over 7 years ago). Back in the day most of the ones you found by HA showed little signs of wear and many were boxed.

      Regards,
      Jody

          Thanks for the info.

This is my collection´s first panzer badge.I have read from many sources that germans used these badges on combat uniforms,is this true? That tells why the badge is "used" looking,am i right?

That badge must have seen A LOT of action, very cool example of an original Aurich
            Kind regards,

Very hard to say but I think this may have been a bronze one.

                    Hi Guys!
Would you regard the wear as "combat" wear - the features seem mega diminished from Roberts example?

Absolutely. That would look handsome on a worn tunic!

Would that be the "Y" straps or maybe the K98 sling causing the wear - it is a bronze, therefore, i guess worn by a panzer grenadier?

Yes, on both. I've got an M36/40 with heavy nap wear on the inside of the left sleeve where it rubbed forever up against a badge worn on the left side of the left pocket. Very real wear. Your badge is a treasure like that.

I personally search badges, which have this wear look.I didnt know that this badge was bronze,i bought it as an silver one.Everyone here say/think it is bronze one?

It is definetly seen alot of battle, there is no actual covering layer at all anymore(bronze or silver)!

One thing i would like to know,is there big difference in price of the badges...if one is silver and another is bronze(both on same manufacturer and same wear degree)?

I find the silver Hermann Aurich PAB's are harder to find in very nice condition, and many more bronze versions are available. Your has some of the bronze tone left deep in the recesses of the detailing of the badge obverse, making us believe that it is indeed a bronze PAB.
