    As Iab

    Hi everyone,

After putting it up for sale on e-stand , some questions were raised in regards to the catch that differs from what’s expected to be seen on AS IABs. Not being an expert in IAB’s myself, I can only point out to the fact that the catch as well as the pin seem to be made of the same material, and thus , it triggers no alarm bells off in my mind. But I could be wrong, though. Anybody think different?
    THX

This looks to be a fake to me....looks like a good casting. The catch is also wrong.

          Regards,
          Chris G.

Looking at it’s edges, I can say with high degree of certainty that it’s a stamped piece.
BTW. has anyone ever seen semi-hollow IAB fakes as well as fakes with a ball hinge ? Just curious .

I like it even less now with the new pictures. Wrong type of catch for this maker and it does look like a casting IMO.

Looks like one of the African Hero's fakes. Can you please show us an oblique shot of the hinge, especially highlighting where the crimp is next to the hinge piece.

Don, I agree with you this is most probably an afrikan hero fake once more.
                    Kind regards,
                    Giel

Do a search for African Hero and you will find many threads detailing his wares.
