Are F&BL CCC makers marks always upside down?

Here is what looks like a nice original badge, but the makers mark is readable when viewed "right side up". Has anyone seen (or owned) an original one that is made like this?

The obverse looks like the fakes being pumped out in the 1990's - but did these ever have right-side-up markings? s/f Robert

              Hi Robert,

All original F&BL clasps utilized the same die, so they are ALL marked upside down. The one you show is a reproduction and the same obverse can be found on the FLL fakes floating around.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
