Ohh forgot - need height and width in milimeters + one digit. The weight is also essential. And last - a full pic of the reverse is needed!

      Cheers Thomas

          Here is the reverse pic:

          The APB badge is 5.75*4.75cm,

Sorry I can't get more bigger pic, and I don't know the weight of the badge.

          Thanks for all opinions!!

          Best regards

I'd say a fake. The '21', in addition to the hinge, pin, & catch, are all wrong for the APB, IMHO.

            Regards,
            Mark

Definately fake, bad pin, bad mark for starters.

As far as I remember there are no marked originals examples known.

                        Bandenkampfabzeichen

Be sure, the Reichsführer highly personally would have brought the maker to KL (return not required!), for that lousy quality. The deputy of awards at renowned Dresden Army Museum gave me a very needful tip with LIFETIME GUARANTEE: If you want to go sure for genuiness look for 3 parameters:
                        1. The quality of German craftmanship
                        2. The quality of German craftmanship
                        3. If youre in doubt yet, mind the quality of German craftmanship.
A funny example he told: Imagine, the CHALLENGER had a damage by having lost a bolt in outer hide and the oxygene is streaming out, but no other item than a German badge of the same diameter would be available at this moment....THIS WOULD CLOSE at 100 %, definitely!

Sorry for novels, but its the only way to divide, finally!

Unfortunately the old adage about german craftmanship does not apply to badges. You can see the lack of quality in many makers products like Hymenn for instance. It is better to understand the technical merits for whatever you are studying and find a textbook example. In this instance the badge shown fell far short of this requirement.

Where did the old German Craftmanship myth come about? Ever drive an Opel? lol
