    Bronze EWE ??

    Hello Gentleman,

This is the same badge that I have posted on the e-stand, but better pics, it was late the first time around. Another member , asked me to post them because his thought was it might be an unmarked EWE. Well, PAB are out of my area of greater knowledge, so any comments from those that know their PAB would be appriciated.

    Cordially Yours,
    JD

I am not sure I am getting the required detail to make such a determination, so please advise me of what we are looking for as the distinguishing area and I will take more pics.

      Best Regards,

            Hi Guys,

It was me asking Joe to post this badge he has for sale to compare it to the marked and unmarked EWE badges we discussed in this thread started by Toby :

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...threadid=23465

When I saw this badge on his web site I thought that there were some striking similarities between these badges.

To start with the very distinctive eagles head and besides that the typical rock cutout.

            Any opinons anyone ?

            KR
            Philippe

            PS: Thanks Joe.

                  Hi Brian,

After seeing your pics I think your right, even more similarity to yours then to the EWE.

BTW where are the pics. At first there was an obverse shot too but that seems to be gone. Could you post it again together with a reverse shot.

Sure, I thought better of it after posting because it was a scoop back and a different die. I didn't take the back pic although that's the finest feature with the 'AWS 1942'.

                      Hi Brian.

Your absolutely correct. Typical feature on these AWS badges seems to be the left over material just behind the turret.

I like Joe's PAB a lot. The color is amazing.
