Friedrich Orth PAB???

HI PAB experts,

Can I get some feedback on this PAB, I think it might be a Friedrich Orth, or possibly a copy of an FO. I have been staring at it for ages and can't make up my mind as the FO seems to share obverse characteristics with a couple of other manufacturers.

Hi Jordan,

I think you are right, after a comparison of the reverse of this with the Hobacher, both show the same die characteristic near the hump below the gun barrel.

Wilhelm Hobacher good call, Jordan. Friedrich Orth PABs are smooth on the back with a slight dishing. Any less and it would be flat. I do not know if you can see it in the one Pictured.

Indeed, a nice Hobacher. As Dennis pointed out the reverse is quite different than an Orth badge. This being one of several "Vienna" design PAB's telling the maker soley by the obverse is difficult.
