Hi All,
I have what I think was one of the first Assmann GAB's. it is marked with only an "A" and without the circle around it.
the silver finish on this not plated and the back is semi hollow under the maker mark.
The details are not as crisp as the later Assmanns marked 1 to 4 but the eagle head appears similar.
using Frank's book, I noticed the details on this is similar to the hollow unmarked Assmann shown in his book.
this lead me to think this semi hollow and hollow example could be made around the same period? and Assmann made a total of 6 GABs!?
