    Detlev's mint GAB's

This morning did anyone else see Detlev's mint conditioned GAB's? Along with these there were four differnet types of marked Assmann's. Could someone with Frank's book please identify this badge for us, it's maker?

    Thanks you,
    Robert

          Hi Robert

Great looking GABs. It was a GAB collectors dream today

These finds do not occur too often.

          regards
          Graeme

Exactly. Not sure I had seen an Assman marked #1 before. Aren't they pretty uncommon?

              Best,
Yeah! I had to have just one of these. I missed the nice EKI's. I tuned in a little late this AM.

I don't know for sure. They were all very nice, and a GAB collector's dream come true, like Graeme said.

I haven't started collecting the late war injection molded badges yet, but for those who do, it was THE time to be tuned in.

Detlev must have hit the jackpot somewhere. Very many cellophane wrapped badges of all kinds !!

When I saw that CASED MINT BOXED "26" and the SOLD ... I thought Robert snagged that one as well

                    Darrell,

You really know how to hurt a guy. I was just over that disappointment, and here you are rubbing it back in again. I finally figured out how to grab all the nice EK's from Detlev, install ten different computers in your room, and invite the neighbors over to push the button on every EK right when the clock in Germany hits 14:00. No, there were some very nice EK's on his site, and I'm glad I got at least two EKII's, a '23' and a '75'...finally a '75'. Finally....

                      Hey Guys,

Hold on to your hats ........... Rumor has it these GAs turned up at the Stuttgart show. It looks like Detlev had some ......... and I think that more may exist. As in 'sets', of '1' - '2' - '3' - and - '4' ! Talk about a collectors dream........................

Jason Burmeister may have the details.

I know this morning Detlev was selling the Assmann series in sets. I'm not sure if he has any left by now, but it would we worth a try to ask if you're really interested. He may know where to locate more...

Trust me. Jason B. told me about sets of four badges, including casting numbers 1 through 4. A four badge (Assmann I think) set. I'm sure he won't be giving them away. But to me, the cost will be based on both the set value and the 'uncirculated' condition of the badges. A rare friggin opportunity. As I recall, Detlev did not have all the 'numbers' in his package.

I posted Burmeister's (oops) email earlier.

                            Move fast guys!!!!!!

                            Regards,

                              Hi Fellas......

......If I was one to slobber(I'm not though) that line-up of GAB's would probably have triggered the ol' Pavlovian response. There were still some remaining a few mins. ago.

Quite the beauties those, and at this time about as good a price as you're likely to see from a dealer.

                              Very nice.
