the catch opens to the left, so if it's a good one, that should narrow it down. I don't have my IAB files here right now, but there was one maker that had examples with openings to the left, too. IF it's a good one, it could be the same maker... let's hear what the experts have to say about it....
      Cheers

Plumbum is slang for Blei or Lead, the checmical table shows it as PB, .... I don't know where the plumbum came from in the end... but Bubba and Billy Ray call it the same over here!
              Cheers

                Actually, its not slang
Pb = plumbum. Plumbum is latin.

What plumbum means, I have no idea
Need to check my latin books when I get home.

Very silly name. But it feels like something soft and bendy, and thats what lead is I guess so..

                /David

I have one of these and it definately isn't lead based. I've tried to bend it and it won't go.

Different reverse setup but same shiny finish.

... so much for the plumbum, then, good call, David.
Don - you got the badge right in front of you and it's not made of lead - Romanov's badge has a different "shine" to it I think, but a "bending test" or similar should clear that matter. (Romanov, are you with us?) maybe it's just the lighting and my PlumbumPhobia, though...

I think the color/finish difference is due to scanning vs photos.

On my sign the covering was kept almost completely. Copper it is visible very little

Easiest way to tell is by weight. Do you have a scale?
