      It´s a fake IMO.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

I think the first badge posted is a nice original BH Mayer.....IMHO.

I agree that this IAB is very near identical to my BH Mayer, but has a minor differance to the leaves near the gun's buttstock. If it wasn't for that- It is spot on!

Hans- Do you have definative proof that yours is a fake, and not a variation? I don't want us to discredit a possible variation due to a slight difference in a leaf pattern.

          Just thinking out loud,

The weight on the mine is way off from a real one, it´s also made in the wrong material doesn´t even feel or look like a buntmetal one. The weight was around 10 grams, i need to get me new batteries for the scale to get the exact weight of again since i didn´t save the information. The material it´s made of is a exact match to the fake Assmann i also have...

Just as a sidenote to all this; i do own a bronze buntmetall to compare with it as well.

Any more opinions about this badge?

I compared it with BH Meyer but the eagles head is different.

              Thanks

Well it does not help when you show two reverse pics of different badges.

If you want to know about the first pic posted, IMO this is a fake based on a Hymmen IAB. Quite often sellers angle the pics so that the head is difficult to see. These have been around for at least 6 months. I would definitely like to see clearer straight on pics before considering it a possible buy.

The badge Hans posted is based on BH Mayer design, but both are fakes.
                cheers

I would agrre with Hans and Graeme, the first pic was talked about here on the forum last year, and the first sign of a fake is when the seller matches pictures up of 2 different badges

That´s strange, when i replied on this thread it certainly wasn´t a Hymmen design. The one posted below is the initial badge that was posted here .

Let's ensure the fakes get posted to the fake's gallery please.
