GAB Small w Maker

I have this GAB which has a small w marked on the back just to the left of the hinge. Who is the maker here and what does everyone think of this badge? It looks nice in hand and looks to be zinc. Unfortunatley the catch is broken off, which hurts but it still displays ok.

Wurster eh? I thought it was something like that. How common are these? I guess the broken catch ruins it a bit.
