    Plated & frosted 1.28.1 GAB

I just picked up this GAB over the weekend. From my research is it considered an unknown maker and given the number 1.28.1 in Frank's book.

My question is, what time period was this nicely frosted badge made? It must be zinc given it's weight but is has been plated with a copper base and then highly frosted. The frosting has been worn away on all the high areas but it is still very nice.

The color of the photos are a bit off because I took pictures in direct sunlight.

    What are your thoughts?

    Regards,

    Chuck

This maker is known for the copper coating that helps the final finish adher. Its a nice, original badge.
