On the 'Porsches' be careful you don't get suckered into buying a zinc coated example, opposed to a 'fully' buntmetal one if thats what you desire (personally wish I'd just gone for all bunt badges really instead of an array of this a that)

This example of mine is a zinc Porsche with the copper application (coated) then the surface finishes. You can just see the traces of dark grey zinc, then the thin bunt (brass coloured) application and so on on the worn highlights.

                    Below hollow Porsche 'coated' example.

Marcus whats the weight of the zinc porsche you show?

also only one known confirmed example of a BM porsche so its really a rare bugger I would hold ones breath in looking for one-zink coated porsche still a lovely badge-wouldn't want newbies getting suckered into buying a African Hero Porsche....

                        Hi Jeff,

I can't tell you the weight I'm afraid I don't have the appropiate scales, but it's a zincer for sure (it comes from Berlin) - the scanner has given mine this 'down from heaven' glare and glamour look: it's a bit more subtle in the hand though.

True about the BM Porsche, I neglected to mention that of course, in fact I totally forgot that point. The point I was trying to make that mine isn't a bunt as thats been a pitfall in the past too. A number of experienced guys bought an example like mine for arguments sake thinking it was bunt.

Christ and yes the Hero - uuummm it really does send the collecting theme all pear shaped with him in the equation. I couldn't buy from there in confidence on 95% + of his wares.
