CCC help need

    I'm not the owner of the clasp, so I can't speak for him. But if an original pin for the badge was available, why not repair it? I'm just speaking for myself. Restore it to it's original condition. ++++

        Hi Robert,

        Personally, I wouldn't bother with the finish of the badge itself, just the restoration of the pin is what I was referring to. My fault in being misunderstood on that. The worn look to the front of the badge gives it so much character. A vintage antique, as these are, can be easily robbed of value when altered from their original condition or state. The addition of a whole pin will only help it's value. From time to time you will see badges that have been recoated or repainted in an effort to bring back their original state. It just can't be done correctly. I like the appearance of your badge just the way it is. It's got the look of a badge that was truly worn by a veteran.

            I'm with You about finish coat -I wount touch it.
            Btw:what else we can do (-humbrol paint...no way!)

            Totally agree that only a detent (hope that it's propper name...) it the problem here.

            This example came from Germany two weeks ago-It's flea market found from Manheim area.
            Yesterday came to my from good mate from UK.Well - I'm proud owner.

              hi there you don't have to replace that pin i would simply ad a peace to the original one then bingo you will have one nice clasp my good man
