Here's a shooting lanyard I picked up today...

at the local flea market. Was $30 okay ? The lady was a bit snotty with me when I attempted to negotiate (after all it isn't Walmart) but she wouldn't budge.
I have a small amount of Third Reich items and I liked the looks of this. Should look good in a shadow box. It shows a small degree of wear and soiling to the lanyard backing with a bit of moth tracking on the badge's wool backing. Also has the initials L&S or T&S on the wool backing.

Can you guys tell me if this is a period piece and who the maker might be?
    Thanks! Kim

You have an original, WWII Grade 2, standard marksmanship lanyard. Mothing on the wool backing the rosette is not unusual. The shield appears to be in excellent+ condition. Your price of $30 was a real bargain.

The most common ink stamping on the rosette wool is "T & S" but I do not know what it stands for.

          Lanyard

This is not a grade two lanyard but a grade six due to the wreath. The price was fantastic if you find more at that price buy them all.
