What does the "w" halmark indicate on the reverse of a GAB?

I think what Indy means to say is that there are orginal GAB's marked with a "W" which means the badge was indeed produced by Wurster. However, there are fakes out there with "W"'s on them also. So without a picture we cannot be sure if it is an orginal Wurster or not. Does this make sense?
