    Award Drought

    What is the longest someone has gone without adding something to their collection? I have not acquired anything since July last year! Do I have the record?

    My excuse is simple. The prices for TR items here in Latvia border on the obscene.
    There is more chance of George Bush being re-elected than obtaining a TR bargain here in Latvia.

    Sorry to hear that you havn't had the opportunity to add to your collection in so long. In the last month i have added a SS tropical skull, 1 complete set of pith helmet shields ( I collect them avidly so if anyone has them and is willing to part with them please pm me for trades or $), 2 single eagle pith shields, 2 splinter zelts, 1 heer dovetail sword, 1 luft nco/em flight/para visor, 1 austrian hungry medal, 1 WW1 black wound badge, 1 ww2 german bwb, set of luft captains collar tabs, boards and bullion eagle (all removed from same tunic). This has been a ridiculously good month for me, did a lot of tradeing items for most of the stuff, but had to buy the skull and pith shields. I usually only add and item or two a month if i am lucky. Being in school makes it difficult to afford a collecting habit in TR militaria. Matt

      Thats quite a long time you must have a lot $$ or EE stored up by now. You need to visit a show or e-stand or maybe your just subjected to the high value of the Euro like me 1.31 to one.

        Been stocking up on Soviet and US pieces for the last year or so. Glad I was since the new Valor crap has hit the fan in the USA

          Nice one gents. It will only be a matter of time when I spot something at one of the many 'junk' markets here. I am tempted to buy something from the e-stand but I prefer the fun of the hunt. You never know, could end up with a complete SS Latvian Legion uniform
