    Hi Neil,

Looks like you and I have the same opinion on this one. Hopefully, we will find out for sure, one way or another. But without better images ..........?

    Regards,
    Mark

Y'no..... (Without a definate oninion on the posted badge) If anyone has good images of the latest-greatest fakes, and wanted to post, this could turn into a great thread!

Hi Heinrich, the fake you just posted looks identical to the one that started this thread, at least on the obverse. What is the story behind it being a fake? best wishes,
                  jeff

                    Hi Jeff,

the tank is a good cast from a original (imo)- and the cloth exihibts features only found on the infamous austrian copy.
The badge has been improved in many ways to the "old" austrian copy, weave corrected, proportions and a few more, but still some flaws
With a correct backing it will foll many collectors from the pics. Btw it exists in silver too

                    Regards

                    Heinrich

Thanks Eddy! I was just going to ask Heinrich if he knew if the tank on the one he posted was magnetic. best wishes,

                          Hi Jeff,

the one i posted earlier isn't magnetic, but this style also exists in a magnetic version

The truth is in the detail of the tank. There is no 'good cast', the tank is a pressing and the die details are like fingerprints, changing slightly as the dies wear. IMO, typically, press tools are very expensive, and usually forgers don't use processes which require large chunks of capital. I think that it's originality is anyone's guess until we can see closer detail. Personally, I'd need to have a long hard look over a couple of days before I parted with my money -Unless it was ultra cheap and worth the risk!
