    Silver CCC's -Comments please

    Hi,
I've been offered two Silver CCC's which I'd like some comments on. Unfortunately the pic's are of a pretty low resolution so not much detail. However, any comments would be welcomed. The first one is marked "FEC. W.E. PEEKHAUS BERLIN. FLL."

Mind you, I do not collect these. However, these look to be crude fakes.

They appear to be of low quality. Not genuine in my opinion.

mmmm, I had the same feeling, unfortunately I don't think that the photo's are of a good enough quality to allow a decent verdict.

                Neil,
Belive me, there is a good reason for the poor photo quality.

                  Hi Porsche......

......on the strength of those images you have a couple of choices:
                  • wait for better images
                  • risk your outlay and hope for the best

                    Hi guys,

I would totally disagree, I think both are original! Definately try to get better pics from the seller, but I think they will both turn out fine. FLL's always have a pretty soft obverse design, but the back is textbook 1st pattern FLL. The AGMuK has some good hand finishing on the reverse and has a lot of finish, a typical trait of original AGMuKs. I would like to see better closeup shots of both.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

If only someone would write an authoritative reference book on these...

                        Tom,
As I said earlier, I don't collect these. However, I recognize that you are the "go to" guy on these badges. It's even rumored that you are writing a book on them.... Therfore I will cede to your opinion.

                            Thanks guys,
I think I'll take the risk. I'll post some better pic's when I get hold of one or both.
