    SS 12-year Service Medal, cased, opinions please

    Hello,

    I've been offered this medal and wanted to bring it to the tables first for some sharp eyes to examine. If I have this in the wrong thread I am sorry. I was at a loss as to where it should go. Moderator, if you please, you may move it if it is out of order.

    What does everyone think about the medal, the runes on the mint ribbon, and finally, the case? I would really appreciate the help with this piece. I know very little of SS medals.

                Even the minor damage to the runes looks similar! Fake cases have more detail to the grained leather surface.

                  Didn't forget you on Deschler. You may get a greater response if you posted this on the General Wehrmacht Awards section. These guys see them much more frequently. IMHO I like the badge shown and would like to see what the experts have to say.

                    This medal came from a very reliable sourse. Still trying to figure a way to work it in here at Christmas. Maybe I could buy it for my wife. No!Thanks for the comments. It makes me drool every time I see it. What a terrific piece - almost as nice as that/those marked Deschlers you have. If I can afford this maybe you'll trade that nice one you have for it.
