    Hollow Back Marked IAB's

    New guy to collecting TR itmes. I was reading on a dealers site that Maker Marked hollow back IAB's are rare. I was just wondering how ture this is. Just seems odd to me. But as I shop around for different items 99% of the hollow back IAB's I see are un-marked. I just dont get it.

    Any information will greatly be appreciated and helpfull.....

    Yes, they are uncommon. A few IAB's that come to mind are:
    - Assman marked, in the rifle butt
    - "H" marked in the lower right wreath
    - ShuCo marked in the stock

    Not sure why other makers of hollowbacks did not mark their badges. Perhaps due to the way they are made.

      and on the forum in the following thread we have seen a hollow FLL marked L/14 owned by Christian. Very Unique

        I have a Assman Hollow Back. I was thinking about getting rid of. So I was doing research and came accross that it is not common to find a IAB Hollow back with a makers mark. Now if only I could find one with a price on line to get a estimate on how much to charge if I wanted to get rid of it.

          Rare in this market does not always mean big bucks.

          For a valuation check out the dealer sites for a similar condition non maker marked hollow IAB and add a couple of bucks. And don't forget the dealer prices tend to be the highest.
          Alternatively get a valuation from a dealer and offer it for the same price on the estand.
