    Help on a CCC

I am a 'cloth' collector that needs to sell a few items to make a new acquisition. One of the items that I will put up for sale on the E-Stand is a FLL Close Combat Clasp in Silver.
Due to my lack of expertice in war badges and metals I will post some pictures of the badge and I ask for your help and comments on this badge to insure its authenticity prior to sale. Thanks for any and all help.

            Alan,

its a good one but going purely on your photos it was probably bronze. At least the pin looks bronze in the pics.
Messy soldering around the hook to.

Skip, I thought that some one was mucking with it trying to 'up-grade' it to gold. But you gentlemen are the experts,so please let me know.

                  Alan,

for me from these pics impossible to say. It could well be a gold grade thats lost all its obverse finish. The tone of finish is a bit difficult to make out. Can you do some shots in naturel daylight ?
