    An IAB '75'.....you opinions please

    Dear all,

I can acquire this GAB '75' which is unmarked and has some fading of the gold finish. It seems to be, however, an original specimen. These are the only pics that I was given. The details on the badge are extraordinary. What do you all think? And can someone give me any indication on its value (in this state)?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Coco

It is not a IAB. It is a GAB. General Assult Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen)

              Cheers.

Whats up with the rivets here? At least one of them has not been processed at all.

                    The GAB

                    Dear Peter,

I had noticed this too but remember to have read that these rivets i.e. the construction of these badges was not that durable. These - at least two of the rivets - look indeed not very solid, but also that might be a 'war-production' failure or alike....

                    Thanks again for the feedback.

                    Best regards,

                    Coco

IMO a fake of the 2.5 series in Frank's excellent book. The detail and hardware fall a little short of an original. best wishes,
