Tank destruction badge question

I recently acquired this badge and now have become concerned that it may be post 1945. I tried to do my homework and the badge seemed to conform to those that have previously been described as a type 2 pre 1945. Is there anything discernable that would define a post 1945 from a pre 1945 TDB? The badge is magnetic but has a brassy or copper color appearance. The backing is also magnetic. It has 3 prongs. I'll try to scan some better pictures tonight when I get home. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Richard,

to be sure please measure the tank exactly and post dimensions. Also please show a picture of the side (for thickness) and rear (for prong type).

Other than this, I was second in line for this badge and actually felt pretty good with it as being a 2nd type as you stated but to be honest, there allways is a risk using only pictures and seller knowledge. Therefore to be certain, compare the dimensions with the second type TDB on my thread at http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=185134 bearing in mind that there may be minor differences (something like 0,1 to 0,4 mm) due to tooling.

To me the Tank looks pre 1945. Not a postwar type imo.

IMO 100% original, there is a flaw on the last runner wheel that is known on originals
