    Hermann Aurich PAB

    Hi,
I have the opportunity to purchase this badge. I am sure that it is ok having studied others but wonder if it is worth $185.00 that it is priced at.

    Cheers,

Looks like a good one to me John and that's a great price for this badge with todays prices the way they are

The crimping around the hinge has me a bit concerned. Repaired, replaced, or fabricated IMO.

The Badge is a known fake. It is well made but they all share the initials on the reverse.

I think this is one of the fake HA pab we've discussed sometime ago, look in the fake gallery, the hinge is the give away.

Bloody Hell it's even got the same initials on the back! I thought the only fake aurichs had the 'ball' type joint on the back. Many thanks for the quick replies - i'm going to forward a copy of the fake with the initilas to the seller!
Thank you again for your time gents

True, the originals hinge was very nicely done. The fakes always butcher it(manual process). Easiest give away.

My apologies John for misleading you on this badge...don't know how I missed the thread on the fake Aurich but I've added this badge to my fakes file so this doesn't happen again

No need to apologise mate we all make mistakes - like this one that one of the site's sponsors is selling for $365.00!! There must have been a lot of soldiers with those initials!

Note the "crack" (stepping) between the swastika and the tank. It is there on this piece as well on the one in the fake gallery.
