    F&R PAB w/ uncommon mm

    Hello All,
I recently picked up this badge. I can find references that this type with the m/m placed higher than usual is uncommon, but I could only find one photo. The hinge definitely matches the F&R norm, but the hook is of a different type. Originally I thought it might have been replaced, but looking at the solder appears to match the wear around it. Everything else on the badge - details, age, markings, etc. - looks good to me, but I'm looking for your opinions. Sorry about the poor scans and photos, but it's about the best I can do.

                    Dale,
No worries, it's a good one. However, the catch has been replaced.

I've have two of these badges Dale..one in bronze and one in silver with the exact same catch..although my scans don't really show the catch very well and I don't own a digital camera.
@ Chet...why do you believe the catch looks replaced?

I think that is just remanants of the solder/ flux and silver coating. It looks fine to me.

                            Dan,
Poor choice of words on my part. I should have said the orginal catch had been re-attached at some point in time judging from the discoloration about the catchs location. How's that?
