Iab Bronze Or Silver ?

Please help me I like this IAB but is it, or was, Silver or Bronze, please give me you idea on this Badge and its grade.

Cosimo,
I think it was a bronze. I know there is alot of silver on it but it is only on the worn areas. Pity about the reverse.

Hi Chet, many thanks for your help, I think it is bronze too, but I not sure of this.it seems really that the original color was what in seen, a sort of grey.

I see what looks like little bits of bronze finish around the hinge and catch areas.

Please I have a new, other the first Silver or Bronze, question: there is a mode to date the changes, make to the reverse ofthis badge?

is it a technique in use during the war, or is it certainly a post war method?
