    Please translate this for me if you will...

    Can someone please translate this passage for me? It's on the back of a photo I recently purchased. I'd really like to know what it says.

    "Brueckenkopf Narwa: Kampfpaujse am Brueckenkopf von Narwa. Waehrend der vom Kampf ermattete Soldat in Stehen Schlaeft, halten die Kameraden fuer ihn die Wacht. In Hintergrund links die jahrhundertealte Hermannsfeste von Narwa, die an weitesten nach Osten vergeschobene Burg des Deutsch-Ritterordens."

    Running it through a software translator, a rough translation;

    "Bridgehead Narwa: Combat break (lull in fighting) at the bridgehead of Narwa. While the soldier in ?front sleeps, exhausted by the fight, his awake comrades hold it. In background on the left of the centuries-old Hermannsfeste of Narwa, at furthest east pushed castle of the German Knight Order (the eastern-most castle of the German Knight Order?)."

    Found a good reference for the battle;

            That's a great pic, Robert!

            I sent a PM for pic # 5 and kicked myself later for not getting #3 as well. I'm glad it went to a good home. Excellent pick up!

              Thanks Robert. Those guys look pretty exhausted - very hardened as well. Reading about the hell they went (are going) through, I can understand why.
