        Mike,

How about some shots of the reverse and then 1 straight on. Like I said in your other thread, this doesn't look good so far as I can see from the poor picture provided.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

              Hi Mike,

Thanks for the additional pic, but I would still like to see a pic of the pin closed and also a very good, clear closeup of the eagle. The overall design and crimping is good (so called S&L CCC), but original have exceptional detail on the obverse. Your clasp looks to be very soft and muted, possibly a casting of an original. Finish also looks odd.

                Hi Mike; Tom!

I am still learning here and only trying to help...
                Tim

I played with the PIC a bit, not sure if it is better or worse, but for what it's worth, I like the front. The reverse has me concerned a bit, but I am always referring to Tom on these anyway, so...

Well, not much better. I do see some details on the acorns and I like that eagle look, but it's the sharpest I could get the PICS without too much distortion. Better PICs please--I too am interested.

Just a suggestion but, if your camera won't take good macro shots you will do better photographing through a magnifying glass. It works, but you'll need to steady your camera on something solid.

                            Hi guys,

Mike, thanks for the much better pics, especially the closeups of the eagle.

I like what I see on this clasp from these pics. IMO it is a good so called S&L CCC. Hinge, catch & pin are all known variations on this type clasp.
