    Opinions about IAB in silver

    Just got this in the mail.

    From what I feel its an original but Im not 100 % sure. Also its maker marked in a way I have never seen before. Any clues about maker? Can be made of Tombak or zink?

        I don't like this one at all. This is likely a cast copy based on the so called "flatty" design. Hinge is all wrong, details are soft among other reasons I would give it the

          Plus the mark was added after production as you can see by how the badge has warped where it was struck. Probably has a high lead content.

            Good point. See if you can write on a piece of paper with it that would pretty much clinch any doubts that it is a fake.

              Well thats good we clear this. I had some feelings and therefore I posted it. Yes the maker mark is very unusual.

                Yes its a pencil

                I have lost some knowledge of medals since I concentrate on SS. One cant do it all!
