i'd mount it in a frame with a nice backing colour and leave well alone -
Kinda what I figured, I'm not much for cleaning. But on some badges age can do long term damage. Thanks!

I would put a coating of vaseline on it to try stop some of the oxidation of the zink. Be very careful, as the silver wash on these FLLs will flake off pretty easily.
