    Help for a newbie

Hi all. I was trying to find information on fake badges and I guess I don't have whatever it is I need because I can't access the fakes gallery. I was just wondering if anyone knows for sure about the WH mark. I've been trying to help a friend with his collection and he has a wehrmacht artillery badge that has the mark WH with WIEN under that. I have been reading elsewhere that some think this mark is the sign of a fake and some do not. I'd appreciate any help that I could get.

    Hi Mike,
WH is for Wilhelm Hobacher from Wien and it is legit (from WWII period) maker mark. However this maker mark is very often used by the "bad boys" so some collectors may not feel comfortable with Hobacher badges if they don't know subject very well.

        Robert,

Do you have an army WH flakbadge that makes you feel really comfortable?
        Kind regards,
        Giel

            Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. The badge he has looks good. Everything checks out as far as I can tell. The only thing in question was the maker mark. So cn I safely assume that this badge would be a genuine example do you think?

You should post pictures, because as Giel said, so far i don't remember seeing even one good army flak with WH maker mark (but i'm believer).

I guess I'm not allowed to post pictures. I tried and it says I can't post attachments.
