    Bronze IAB hinge question

I was at a flea market this weekend and came across a Bronze IAB that interested me. The asking price was 35 Euros which I thought was agreat price, but I was a little worried about the hinge. I didn't have a camera with me so I couldn't get a picture , but the hinge looked like the one pictured on this PAB.

Was this hinge set-up used in the IAB? And can anyone post a picture of one for me to use as a reference?

I've spent most of the the day (and I'm at work!)looking through the Forums but haven't found any IABs with this "recessed Hinge".

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi

Well, not sure about the recess but that style of hinge has definitely been used on IABs, S&L, FZS spring to mind.

    Here is one of mine

Thanks for the help. I have another 3 weeks to research and decode if I'll pick it up.

I've just been through the same experience!

I searched the forum for pics of an IAB with barrel hinge for a long time before I stumbled on this one. This is the same type badge that I picked up yetserday.

Who is the manufacturer of the pictured one here?

          Thank you

            Hi Mauser

The badge pictured has been attributed to S&L. It has a very distinctive obverse design.

            regards

S&L . . . Hot Dawg! Mine matches up down to the veins on the leaves!

Guess I finally found a good one.

                  Thank you!
