    A question about CCC badges

Ok I know the criteria for being awarded the CCC.

However I am not 100% sure I understand what troops were eligable: was it just the Infantry>? or could artilery and panzer crew be awarded it too?

I havent seen many pics of CCC in wear so just not too sure what war badges it was worn with on the uniform.

Im figuring it was only worn in conjunction with the IAB and not wearers of PAB's or GAB's.

    any input appreciated

    cheers

    Dave

As far as I know anyone (Army) with the qualifying number of close combat days was elegible for the ccc. I've seen pics of guys wearing pabs, gabs, and iabs also wearing the ccc.

      Hi Dave,

I would agree with Don. I also understand that members of the Luftwaffe could also be awarded the CCC, up until they had their own Luftwaffe Close Combat Clasp made in 1944.
