Well, I had taken some time away from my TR collection.....sort of a cleansing and refocusing period.......all children go through phases . I am now understanding that no matter how frustrated I get or how much Iraqi militaria distracts me I will never stop getting a thrill from Heer Badges.........I'm just slowing down.

Anyway recently two badges smacked me in the face and reminded me why I think badges are so fun. Here is the first to arrive, and for those who are worried I have foresaken my IAB's........wait till you see what arrives next week .

This type of combination still baffles me and I hope by showing my new baby more lively discussion will erupt........."early" hardware on a "late" badge who's design could be from one or several makers. By the way Dion, nice touch sending it in a cigarette pack..........when you know I am quitting....and you didn't even leave me one

@ Geil, didn't quit I just had not purchased anything as far as Heer badges go in a few months.......and I wasn't sure if I could continue in TR.......silly, I know

@ Jeff, it is an odd combo. I have looked through the couple references books I have and I wind up where we all keep winding up. There are early EK's with this setup...........Schinkelform, round 3's and even an L/13 marked Spange which is actually closest in terms of hardware and a zincer to boot. But ultimately who knows?????
