Hymmen & Co, one of the rarer CCCs

    Dear all,

Thought I would show you some pics of a silver CCC by rarer maker Hymmen & Co or L/53. One of these clasps is also shown in the new Tucker book. And yes, both are original!

Detail center. Note that like with all Hymmen badges I have seen so far (e.g. PAB or Destroyer) the eagle´s chest has a very simple crosshatch pattern instead of a real feather structure. Very characteristic for this maker!

Hymmen badges have a special naive charm to them. You either love them or hate them. The design on their PAB is ridiculously bad. For connaisseurs!

                Frank,
thanks for sharing the pics, like you said one of the rarer makers to come across. First time I can remember seeing really good pics of one. You wouldn't have a GWL laying around would you?

                  Dear Paul,

No, sorry, no GWL CCC here. But members Jacques C., Mike K and soldat45 have one with beautiful pictures.

                  Cheers, Frank

                    Hi Paul.....

.....here's one that I saved to my files and copied from this site. The owner of this beauty is our own Mike K. I hope that he doesn't mind my posting it here for you.

                      Hi all,

Frank, you are a lucky dog. I really like this CCC, and it is one of the few variants I am still missing. Thanks for the great pics.

                        Hi Frank,

That's a nice example of a very uncommon clasp!! Nice one.

Interesting that the chunky flatwire catch is the same as on my unmarked late war PO badge. Another component shared around! I wonder what Yuri will do when he reads this??

                        Regards
                        Mike K

PS: No problems with my image being posted here guys.
                        Regards
                        Mike

                          Very rare bird.

This is the first time I have seen any clear photos of one. I have certainly have never seen one for sale before.

                          Thanks for sharing the photos.
